Are You Where You Want To Be - Did You Expect More At This Point?
I am a strong supporter of setting a weekly schedule.
If you are in business you need to grasp and ensure that you do this as well.
In this busy, busy world you arrive in the office on Monday morning and the next thing you know its Friday afternoon and then you are wondering what did I really accomplish this week?
Sure its one thing to feel good about yourself because you were so busy today.
I ask however, did you really get the right things done? Did you get enough of them done?
There will always be more things to do than there is time to do them.
There is never enough time!
Get used to that idea because that statement will follow you around the rest of your career.
The best way to handle it is a routine.
Follow it every day, every week, every month as best as you can.
Sure, there are life's emergencies or the new client walking through the door that will mess up your schedule. That's OK. Just do the best you can! Always try to master your time and your schedule as best you can.
You are the Master so its mandatory you act like the Master!
I leave a little wiggle room in my schedule and will have it actually blocked in just like I do my Tasks. If nothing is needed during wiggle time and there are no emergencies then I just head over and work on the next important Task. That will help make up for the unexpected things that pop up in your busy life.
The important part is that this is directly tied to your Goals and the Tasks required to meet your Goals.
For example take your Top Six Tasks that you need to complete. These better be directly related to making income. Now take the Top Three of these and schedule them in for this week.
Make them a priority in your schedule. Be so disciplined about getting them done and when exactly that you will work on them... that you can not fail!
If you are intentional about the things that you need to do in your life you will make things happen. You can change the things in life that you want to change! BE INTENTIONAL!
Trust me you will feel much better about yourself. You will accomplished a great deal.
The best part is that you will continually be moving yourself towards your goals and dreams. You will be improving your business, your life and your income. You will become successful faster.

BE A FARMER NOT A HUNTER!
Building a DataBase is one of the most important TASKS that you need to work on constantly for your business.
Farming and contacting your DataBase is the next Task that must be done on a regular basis.
Do not leave this for a rainy day when there is nothing left to do because it will never happen. Make this a High Income TASK and a BIG Priority!
If you wait it will make you very sad (and broke)! I have seen this happen too many times & that makes me sad because it doesn't have to happen!
You see, you can not be a "Secret Agent."
You must find a way to let people know what it is you do.
Then you must find ways to offer value to them - up front!
If it is not of value to them you are wasting your time and you will be deleted and considered a pest!
In other words and to be blunt... If you do not do this, you will go broke!
So how do you offer (on a regular basis) something of value?
Spend some time and I mean some very valuable time and get a pen and paper and write down what you can do that would be valuable for others.
So it might be that you offer a website for a community, a FaceBook page for a community that shares news, family events or something else on social media? You need something more.

- What can you do to help them?
- What can you give them at little or no cost to you?
- What can you do that makes you unique in the industry?
- What can you offer that makes you stand out in a crowd?
- How do you "WOW" them?
- What is your real unique value to others?

Perhaps on the anniversary of each one of your Home Buyers you offer a FREE Market Analysis to show them what their investment is paying them (equity is buying power). You need more.
Perhaps you have a list of trusted business people that can help your clients when they need to buy something or get something fixed?
Make it even better and develop a "system" so that they get a reduced price through you and you cross market this with other businesses.
Perhaps you host a BBQ each summer for the kids in the area and add in their parents. Thats just one thing.
The list goes on and on.
Use your imagination, come up with things better and more valuable than anyone else has.
Google and see what others are doing.
Think about searching it in another city like Los Angeles or Phoenix.

Try to be unique in your area. Sit in a dark and quiet room and think about this long and hard!
Once people see that you and your business is of value to them (that's all that counts) and next when they see your name and brand enough, ONLY then, will they think about you.
Better yet, when they begin to think of you this way (valuable & trustworthy) they will begin to refer their friends and relatives to you.
Those who need your services too!

Thats the just the beginning of repeat and referral business.
You need that as soon as possible to build a good profitable business model.

- Trust you,
- Like you,
- Want your services and
- See you as a valuable contact for them and their associates?

If you don't do this, you will be relying on friends and relatives for your income. Thats not a professional and its a bankrupt business just waiting to happen!

Why LinkedIn Can Be A Gold Mine for Business
In business you need LinkedIn.
This is not social media!
This is a very good tool for connecting with potential clients and business people.
Why is this important?
If you have a business person who wants to buy and even better yet sell then you have an easier time of it.
Experienced business people do not want to be sold. They are generally very busy people.
They understand business systems and marketing to some degree and know that it takes a professional to properly get the job done.
They are less likely to argue over your fee. They understand better that you do get what you pay for.
If they are a professional they want a professional service.
If they are very successful their home is likely worth more than the average home.
I know of no better way to connect with large numbers of like minded people.
If they or an associate of theirs are thinking real estate all you need to do is show them you are of value in getting the job done professionally and properly.
So make connections (I have approx 5000 at the moment). Build your data base and gently stay in front of them with valuable insider information. They will thank you for it down the road.
LinkedIn is responsible for much of the success that I have had and it can be for you too.
Remember this is not social media this is a valuable business tool and by the way it's FREE!
